RESEARCH CENTER

Two breeders as well as a team of specialized technicians work at the Research Center, located in Princeville.

Semican is developing an early conventional soybean genetic program. The geographic positioning of the Research Center makes it possible to properly assess the early genetic material resulting from its program in order to select the best prospects. Through its network of collaborators, Semican is also testing its material in other regions to verify its performance. The close relationship with the sales team helps meet both the expectations of producers and the needs of buyers. The Research Center also provides support to the sales team by collaborating in the quality control of the various marketing and production programs.

Semican's research component is the starting point for new markets that will ensure the success of the agriculture of the future.

Researchers, genetic improvers as well as a team of technicians specialized in their respective fields work at the Research Center.

This specialized team operates our research farm and develops new grain and soybean cultivars, providing Semican partners with the expertise to assess future cultivars for producers in Eastern Canada.

Our activities continue on the same vein and many quality cultivars from our Research Center are now available.
